November on My Little Underground

We kicked off November on My Little Underground with Malcolm Smith talking up his Insecure recap podcast, He Got Ya'll. We discuss the fragmented relationship of Molly and Issa heading into the fifth and final season and well as Issa's break up with Lawrence and Nathan coming back into her life. Malcolm also shed some some light on his upcoming series, Butch Queen Energy: The Series coming February 2022!

I also started a new series called On Repeat where I share some albums/singles/EPs that I've been repeating heavily. Since this fall was quite busy musically, I talked up some incredible autumn releases. Listen to me sing the praises of Shannon Lay's latest album, 'Geist' The Muslims latest, 'Fuck These Fucking Facists', Dummy's debut full length 'Mandatory Enjoyment', Homeboy Sandman's new collaboration with production duo 2 Hungry Bros, the debut EP of Alice Longyu Gao, and more!

Part two of my fall On Repeat series took place in the great city of Minneapolis! I shared some of the awesome small businesses in the mini apple that my good friend Sophia Khori took me to. Sophia has her own handmade accessories with her sister called Mood Stringz. I'm already more stylish from sporting a few of those and theres nothing fashionable about me. As a far as great fall albums to listen to, look no further than 'Votives' from the fungus queen, Old Man of The Woods, the latest self titled effort from La Luz, 'Open The Gates' from poetic free Jazz masters Irreversible Entanglements and 'Things Take Time, Take Time', the third album from one of my favorite songwriters, Courtney Barnett!

I closed out November on My Little Underground with Tallahassee, Florida MC, DJ, and record label captain Artisan P! He's got a new 'Different Forms EP' out now on his very on Citronella Room and he talks up the release strategy of the label. We also discuss the importance of picking the right producer, playing The Fest, and more!
