October on My Little Underground
As we wrap up spooky season and our neighborhoods begin to put up Christmas lights, I thought I'd share all the great people that came through My Little Underground this October!
Alicia Walter is a Chicago bred, New York based singer/songwriter that just recently released her debut solo album I Am Alicia to positive acclaim by me. Alicia pulled up to My Little Underground to talk up the stellar and creative arrangement of this album as well as her experiences as a wedding DJ, artists in the Chicago and New York scene that she admires, and more!
Sydney Mae Diaz of Anxioushum
Sydney Mae Diaz, actor and musician, one half of Anxioushum shares the bands release plan that includes another single to follow up Wore, an EP, and possibly a full length LP! Syd also talks up his process of character preparation his role in Generations on HBO Max as well as Ghostbusters: Afterlife.
Los Angeles based singer-songwriter, Shannon Lay, pulled up to My Little Underground to talk up her fantastic new album Geist, and we bond over The Simpsons. Shannon's songwriting has evolved and have become more emotive and I ask her if she trying to speak to the emotions of the listener.
Old Man of The Woods [Returned]
Last but not least, my fungus friend, Old Man of The Woods returns to My Little Underground tomorrow to reprise our chatter on physical media. Has Miranda Elliot become a record and tape collector since her last MLU appearance? The fungus queen has since relocated from Richmond, VA to Seattle and she shares her thoughts on the artists and cafe's she has gotten acquainted with and more! Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention that Old Man of The Woods has released her debut LP, Votives that we'll discuss at length.
